Outdoor against Cancer picked me up exactly where I was three years ago: cancer gone, but strength gone too. In the very first hour at the Isar, I recharged my battery to the point where I knew I wanted more of it: fresh, green, outside, lively and lots of laughter. The first sore muscle had washed itself, but I thought to myself, better pain because of movement than pain because of not moving. After a few months, I even had real arm muscles for the first time in my life without having put it on, cool! And body feeling again. And I was able to keep my balance and run despite my numb feet from polyneuropathy. Because I'm working full time again, I rarely make it to training these days, that's real crap. A small consolation are the OACatHome online units, but that is definitely not the same as playing outside together. The great thing is that it doesn't matter how fit or ready you are, everyone joins in according to their own abilities and notices from time to time how they get better.
